Membership – Pause Request

Pause Membership Option

True North Martial Arts offers an optional membership pause for eligible members who are temporarily unable to train.

The pause option is available only to members enrolled in:

  • A Founder’s Membership;
  • A prepaid six-month membership; or
  • A prepaid 12-month membership.

While the membership is paused, a fee of $10 plus applicable taxes per 30-day period will be charged using the payment method on file. Members will not have access to classes, open mats, training areas, or other membership benefits during the pause period unless otherwise approved by True North Martial Arts.

For prepaid memberships, the unused portion of the membership will be extended by the approved pause period. A membership pause does not provide a refund or cash credit for previously paid membership fees.

Pause requests must be submitted through the approved membership-management process before the requested pause date. Pauses cannot normally be applied retroactively and are subject to account approval. The member’s account must be in good standing, with no outstanding balances, before a pause can begin.

Members must provide a requested reactivation date. Regular membership access and billing will automatically resume on that date unless a different arrangement is approved in writing. Early reactivation may be requested, but the monthly pause fee is non-refundable and will not be prorated.

A membership pause does not cancel the membership or remove the member’s obligations under their membership agreement. Founder’s Membership pricing will remain protected during an approved pause, provided all pause fees are paid and the membership is reactivated in accordance with these terms.

True North Martial Arts reserves the right to establish reasonable limits on the frequency and duration of membership pauses and to deny or end a pause where the account is not in good standing or the pause option is being misused.
